HIANZ Access members supply access equipment into construction, infrastructure and maintenance projects across New Zealand. Our development of training and support for the access industry has seen HIANZ pioneer training and education programs for the industry and end users.

The Hire Industry Association of New Zealand (HIANZ) developed the EWP Silvercard almost 20 years ago, and has since provided first class training, awareness and education in the safe use of EWP’s throughout New Zealand.

Our trainers are industry professionals with extensive EWP knowledge and experience. Most have worked within the Hire Industry or EWP service sector and are familiar with industry trends, innovation and compliance requirements.

The EWP Silvercard is renown and recognised nationally as a reputable proof of competency amongst employers and across various industry sectors. 

Members are able to access documentation that include Equipment Safety Data Sheets, 6 monthly inspection document, JSA/Risk Assessment document, Safe use declaration, buying pre-owned MEWPs information, PPSR guide, Ready to Hire system document, Terms and Conditions for Hire and a members shop offering Hire Specific stationery and stickers. HIANZ also offers hire-specific insurance and legal partner support, and an eLearning system for you and your staff, we host networking events as well as the biggest Hire Conference in New Zealand every year.
