Lower Hutt Events Centre

30C Laings Road, Lower Hutt, Wellington

The Lower Hutt Events Centre is a new, purpose-built event venue in the heart of Lower Hutt. It is one of Wellington’s newest venues for conferences, exhibitions and meetings. The 800 square metre event space has natural light, providing stunning views of picturesque Riddiford Garden. Additionally, the Lower Hutt Town Hall has been refurbished to its 1950’s heritage character, offering a great conference space.

Programme

The programme is subject to change and the Organising Committee reserve the right to make modifications at any time.

Photography and Videography

By submitting your conference registration, you have given your consent for us to use and store any images or videos that you appear in for promotional purposes by the Organising Committee or event managers.

Wifi

Complimentary WIFI is available for all delegates in the conference areas.

Parking

The Riddiford Garden carpark is adjacent to Lower Hutt Events Centre on Laings Road. It’s a public pay and display car park providing 40 spaces, fees: $6 a day or $1 an hour.

 The Centre City Plaza car park is located 250 metres from the venue on Queens Drive and the large Riverbank car park is 800 metres from the centre, accessible from Daly Street.

There are many surrounding suburban street parks available and some are free all day or have 2-hour limits.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of all delegates to organise any personal, medical and travel insurance. HIANZ, and all venues/suppliers working with HIANZ on the conference and associated events, hold no liability.

Transfers to and from the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor

We will be providing free return bus transfers from the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor to the Lower Hutt Events Centre, based on the conference programme.

The Party Night & Awards Dinner are both within walking distance to the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor and as such no transfers will be required. Attendees are required to make their own arrangements.

Transfer of Registrations

If you are no longer able to attend, you can nominate another person to attend in your place as long as you advise us in advance of the conference. Please ensure to have details of the replacement person on hand, including: first name, last name, email address, phone number and any special/dietary requirements. Any registration transfers must be made in writing to the Events Team:

Cancellations

Any cancellations must be made in writing to the Events Team – events@hianz.net.nz

If notification of cancellation of registration is received in writing prior to Friday 30 June 2023, you will be refunded less an administration fee of $50.00 + GST. Any cancellations received after 30 June 2023, or any ‘no shows’ on the day, for whatever reason, is liable for the full conference registration fee.

HIANZ reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the date of the event in case of government imposed restrictions or circumstances beyond their control. In such case all monies paid to date will be refunded in full less any expenses incurred. The liability of the organiser’s will be limited to that amount.
