The board met (via teleconference) on Wednesday 8th April with the main discussion topic being around the 2020 conference in Queenstown.

In these most unusual of times, we are all very mindful of  the uncertainty around what the economy, our industry sector and business may or may not look like post Covid-19.

As much as we wanted to support tourism and local business in Queenstown, the board has erred on the side of caution and unanimously voted to CANCEL THIS YEAR’S CONFERENCE.

Key considerations in this decision were first and foremost your health & well-being.
We also considered the association’s financial exposure as additional non-refundable deposits were due for venues etc.
We fully understand and appreciate that attending and budgeting for conference may not be high on your priority list this year given the current situation.

We are working on other options to connect with you later in the year and will be releasing further information and plans in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, I hope this finds you safe and well and like me,  eager to get back to work.
